At left is a picture showing the foot armiture, built of tinfoil and wrapped with papertape.
The "shoes" are sculpted over it, and after baking, tiny "shoelaces" are added.
A hole is drilled in the bottom of the shoe, to fit over a brass rod in a wood base
when the doll is completed, to stabilize the piece.
