[Animated Monkey moving his hands]
This miniature monkey musical box is based on those popular in the Victorian era. This piece is a little over four inches tall. When the clip in the monkey's back is pinched, his arms move to "play" his cymbals to the music, which plays the tune "Masquerade".

[Monkey Side View] [space] [Closeup View]
The monkey is a one of a kind sculpture, made from polymer clay, with a wire armiture. He is covered with fake fur, and wears a green velvet vest, trimmed with gold and red. A tiny red "jewel" finishes off the clasp on his vest. The music box is sculpted from paperclay, and is painted black and gold, with a black velvet cushion that the monkey sits on.
